Systematic Innovation (TRIZ)
(Sourced by Cochlear)
This systematic creativity process consists of four major steps: problem definition, selecting appropriate solution routes, generating solutions and evaluating and selecting the most appropriate course of action. This tool is based on three principles:
- Problems and solutions were repeated across industries and sciences
- Patterns of technical evolution were repeated across industries and sciences
- Innovations used scientific effects outside the field where they were developed
In the application of TRIZ all three of these findings are applied to create and to improve products, services, and systems. Hargraves Institute offers workshops, user groups and supportive material to assist in the implementation of this powerful problem solving process.
