Member Activities & Commitment
The following is a brief synopsis of Hargraves Institute's current activities, and the estimated commitment to benefit from these activities.
Hargraves Institute has developed a comprehensive calendar of platforms, programs and projects designed to deliver a range of outcomes to its members. All activities are hosted by members and are aimed at specifically addressing member needs through close consultation with members.

Whilst the majority of our activities are free and/or exclusive to members, a 25% member discount applies to any paid activities. (The member discount has been included in prices quoted herein.)
Membership
Hargraves Annual Membership Subscription
Compulsory for all members, the annual subscription allows registration for all events and activities for all personnel. New members join for 2 years at commencement.
Cost: $7,500 per annum
Joining Fee
New members pay a one off joining fee paid at commencement.
Cost: $5,500
Member Forums and Activities
Held regularly in various locations, these facilitated activities discuss member initiated topics and issues, allowing members to openly collaborate and share experience, knowledge and real insights. All members may host events, and/or propose topics. .
Cost: Included in membership. Online activities exclusive to members.
Events
Hargraves Annual Conference
Held annually each March in either Sydney or Melbourne, the Hargraves conference offers one day of guest and member speakers addressing member issues; one day of plenary sessions across 3 streams : Leadership, Innovation and Transformation; and a wide spectrum of pre and post conference activities including the Gala Dinner and Lawrence Hargrave Awards to recognise contributions within the membership. Open to members and guests, conference is designed to attract innovators from all parts of Australia and from overseas.
Cost: $2,475 per member delegate; $1,875 for 2 or more delegates. Early bird discounts apply until 30 November 2011.
Pre and Post conference events complimentary to registered conference attendees. Gala Dinner $180 per person.
Keynote Speaker Events
Each year Hargraves Institute undertakes to bring to Australia a keynote speaker for a program of interactive training and discussions. The keynote speaker is determined following member input, ensuring relevance and value.
Cost: To be advised.
Member Congress
Congress offers a series of short case studies and presentations over one day in each of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Presentations are by members to members, showcasing their techniques, challenges, successes and failures. 3 attendees per member per Congress included in the membership fee.
Cost: Each membership receives three complimentary registrations to each congress. Congress is exclusive to members.
Programs/Workshops
Hargraves' core programs are Leadership, Innovation and Transformation with workshops and activities developed at the request of, and in consultation with, members to fulfill these programs. Hargraves is responsible for all aspects of managing programs, coordinating with experts and senior staff from member organisations, documenting, implementing and running the activity to allow members to participate in a tailored and cost effective program.
Programs may be held as internal workshops for your membership only; offered to other members; or open to public registrations.
Cost: Dependant on program required and number of attendees. Each membership receives a complimentary registration to one 1 day workshop in each of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane (for the period 1/7/11 to 30/6/12). Terms & Conditions apply.
Fellowship
The Hargraves Institute Fellowship Program is a unique opportunity for member organisations to recognise and develop high performing innovative talent within their organisations. An initiative of leading members, the Fellowship is designed to bring the best minds together, share experiences and allow new learnings to be incorporated within forward thinking organisations. Current Fellowships include: Breakthrough Innovation (Hosted by Resmed); Design Led Innovation (Hosted by Cochlear and QUT); and Process Innovation (Hosted by Aristocrat).
Cost: There is no direct cost to participate in Fellowship other than the commitment and cost to attend the Annual Conference, and the commitment to actively participate in Fellowship activities.
Projects
Hargraves offers accredited trainers and expertise to provide tailored projects to address the current issues of any organisation. Projects are confidential with all information exclusive to the participating membership.
Sponsorship
Hargraves Institute welcomes enquiries by organisations interested in sponsoring our activities, either by way of providing a keynote speaker or via equivalent sponsorship at an appropriate level.
All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars and include the 25% member discount and 10% GST. Event and workshop fees are best estimates based on previous events.
