Engagement
Engagement aims to ensure new members are fully conversant with their Hargraves during their first year, providing introductions and connections to existing members and ensuring staff are aware of the benefits and opportunities available. All elements offered through 'Engagement' are optional and customised to address each new member's specific needs. The desired outcomes for engaging with Hargraves should be discussed with our team at the commencement of your membership. Existing members may utilise the options under Engagement at any time to acquaint new personnel with the benefits of Hargraves membership.
Meetings with Key Personnel
Meetings are conducted with between 1 and 5 key personnel in the member organisation, identifying performance strengths and weaknesses in areas such as Innovation Readiness, Motivation and Capability of Personnel, Ideation, Collaboration Mechanisms, and the Ideas Pipeline. Suggested meetings include the Primary Contact and senior personnel responsible for HR, Sustainability, Metrics, Innovation and Strategy. Naturally this will be reviewed for each new member to ensure the most relevant personnel are included. As an additional option, the Hargraves Institute Metrics survey may be carried out at these interviews and the figures included in our confidential Member Collaboration (Metrics) Program.
Addressing Key Strengths, Areas of Interest and Critical Weaknesses
Following these meetings, Hargraves will discuss company strengths, areas of interest to your membership and any weaknesses in critical areas, with the Primary Contact. We will then provide advice on which current activities may be relevant in the short term to address these goals. In addition, we will discuss programs and the development of new activities which will continue to address your membership's issues.
Hold an In-house Presentation by Hargraves
To ensure all staff are aware of your membership and the opportunities available to them via the various activities (many of which are free), Hargraves will present to your nominated personnel on the Hargraves value proposition, current programs and events, and new activities which are being designed and for which your personnel may wish to provide input. If preferred, this may be adapted into a brainstorming session allowing your colleagues the opportunity to present their ideas and views on the areas identified via the interviews.
Member Connections
All Hargraves members are encouraged to host an event at their premises to engage your membership. This may include:
a) Hosting a Member Forum at your premises. The topic of the Forum would be one of those previously identified within your membership or proposed by you which we believe will be of interest to other members; or
b) Host a Study Tour at your premises. This will allow you to showcase your premises and ask specific questions of members to seek their collaboration and feedback.
Either event will allow you to showcase your business to other members, provide an opportunity for your personnel to attend an on-site event, and develop collaboration and networking amongst the membership
Involvement in Hargraves Institute Programs and Events
New members may register participants for any of our programs, events or User Groups. This will allow them to participate and evaluate the benefits and relevance of these programs and groups during this engagement process.
All Member Contacts (those who participate in any activity) are added to our database when they first participate in any activity, and are subsequently provided with information on utilising the membership.
