This is a Pre Conference event kindly hosted by VicRoads
TOUR OF VICROADS TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT CENTRE
This tour will include an overview presentation on the way VicRoads manages traffic in Victoria, followed by a live demonstration of the software used to control traffic signals and the active freeway management devices (lane controls, variable speed limits, ramp metering and variable message signs) on the Monash and Westgate Freeways - the live demo will definitely impress you !
This will then be followed by a presentation and demonstration on the new camera detection technology being evaluated at traffic signals. This technology is being compared against the traditional in-ground inductive loop technology.
And finish with some light refreshments and questions.
This event is on a first in first served basis due to a number limit.
